  TESOL -- Assistant Professor Fall 2017 Tenure Track Adelphi University, chartered in 1896, was the first institution of higher education for liberal arts and sciences on Long Island. The Department of Curriculum and Instruction of the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education is currently seeking an Assistant Professor in TESOL for a full-time tenure track position starting Fall 2017. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in TESOL, Bilingual Education, Applied Linguistics or closely related field; 3 years relevant teaching experience in TESOL or Bilingual Education; and a demonstrated commitment to diverse populations.  Preferred: World language proficiency, demonstrated record of scholarly activity, and experience in one of the following areas: TESOL methods, language assessment, bilingual special education or online teaching. Responsibilities: Teaching graduate courses in TESOL, advisement of graduate students, service, research, clinical supervision and program development The TESOL/Bilingual program currently offers 12 different programs tracks including a MA in TESOL, a five year BA/MA in liberal arts and TESOL, a MS in bilingual special education, and post-master’s advanced certificates in TESOL and bilingual education for teachers, speech language pathologist, school social workers, and school psychologists. http://education-ci.adelphi.edu/bilingual-tesol/ The Ruth S.
