• Call for chapters

Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce that we are currently accepting book chapter proposals for a monograph entitled Science Teacher Preparation in Content-Based Second Language Acquisition to be published by Springer as part of the ASTE Series in Science Education. The purpose of this book is to provide science teacher educators with exemplars of professional development programs designed to prepare teachers to effectively help language learners in science classrooms simultaneously gain language proficiency and conceptual understanding. We envision a book consisting of 18 to 20 chapters from contributing authors that span a variety of K-12 teaching opportunities. Prospective authors are encouraged to send us a 2-4 page proposals by July 20, 2015. A more detailed call is attached.
